Now, you can listen to "Your R&B Wedding Day Music Source" and hear R&B music that can tell your love story with music for your wedding day, instead of searching through many internet pages or videos. By listening, you can create a wedding day music playlist and submit it to your wedding DJ.
There are many recommended R&B Wedding Songs on the internet, but they are listed by the names of good titles for the dance floor, but the lyrics are sometimes have nothing in common with the title of the songs. For instance, "Boo'd Up" by Ella Mae is a great song title for a wedding day, but the lyrics represents the start or end of a relationship that she will never get over, until she finds someone new to make her heart thump, as her former boo did. However, playing "My Boo" as a reception dance floor song is fine. In fact, any song will work for the reception dance floor, but not for the processional or the Bridal March down the aisle. To help you select songs you will need for your wedding day, please refer to the "Wedding Ceremony Music Explained" Factsheet below for more information about suggested ceremony and reception music. The factsheet is only a suggestion and an explanation of wedding music terms, but as always, you can organize your music love story program for your big day, as you like.
OUR EASTERN (New York) TIME ZONE R&B LIVE RADIO PROGRAMS
MONDAY – FRIDAY SHOWS
6am to 10am Gospel Love & Inspiration airs every morning. It includes a mix of new Gospel Hits and older Gospel songs with references of love in the lyrics. These songs can be used for someone whom desires a religious music setting, without secular music, or it just may inspire you to clap your hands, stomp or tap your feet, and send words of praise into the atmosphere.
10am to 2pm The Prelude consists of songs that can be played 30 minutes before the ceremony starts, and as your guests are arriving to be seated. The show also repeats overnights from 10pm to 2am.
2pm to 6pm The Processional & Recessional consist of songs to play when the wedding party walks down the aisle and also, when they are exiting the ceremony space. The show also repeats during overnights from 2am to 6am.
6pm to 10pm The Reception airs daily and consists of charted new R&B hits. However, we recommend that you not play all of the new R&B hit songs for your reception dance floor, because some songs may be inappropriate, due to lyrics that speaks of ending a relationship. Those types of songs are definitely not recommended for a wedding day, and especially at the start of the newlyweds’ married life. Who would want to hear songs about breaking-up on a wedding day? We added all of the new R&B hit songs for listeners to hear what new R&B songs have recently charted on Billboard. However, when you create your playlist for your wedding DJ, be sure to inform him or her, of the songs that you do not want played during your reception, so that you will not offend some of the elderly ears that may be in attendance or the songs that are deemed not proper for the day.

2pm to 6pm The Bride & Groom Songs air each Saturday and Sunday. These songs relate to the activities that the Bride & Groom will perform during a traditional reception. These songs speak from the heart and help to define an R&B musical-love story that is heard when a bride walks down the aisle, and in some cases, when a groom also marches down the aisle, rather than walking through a side-door to stand and wait for his beloved to reach the altar. Other songs that you will hear during this time slot, are songs for the couple to play when they cut the cake, during the bouquet and garter tosses and the last dance song of the evening.
